DESCRIPTION:The UGA Chapel HVAC Replacement project currently in progress r
equires a new and more robust electrical service to reliably and efficient
ly serve the new equipment. Thankfully\, FMD was able to install approxima
tely half of the underground ductbank over the summer along with the large
r chilled water and heating hot water utility infrastructure project along
Herty Drive. However\, we must now install the other half of the electric
al ductbank from the handhole to the transformer. The work requires sidewa
lk removal to facilitate a hydro-vac exploratory operation which will then
proceed directly into construction with a targeted completion by mid-Nove
mber. Work will commence on Monday October 3\, 2022 and is anticipated to
conclude by Monday November 14\, 2022. \n\nThe area of disturbance is illu
strated in the attached diagram. The impacted area will be fenced and acce
ssible to authorized personnel only. Signage will be provided to route ped
estrians safely around the area and unrestricted access will be maintained
to all buildings. \n\nThank you for your continued patience\, assistance
\, and understanding as we work to provide reliable and resilient infrastr
ucture to support the mission of UGA. \n\nPlease don’t hesitate to conta
ct Chris Daigle\, FMD Project Manager (ckdaigle@uga.edu ) with any questio
