The UGA Chapel HVAC Replacement project currently in progress entails removal & replacement of heavy timber structural support platforms and air handling units located in the attic.  Scaffolding will be erected in front of the Chapel to allow crews, materials & equipment access to/from the attic through the gable end.  A portion of the sidewalk will be fenced with a covered walkway outside to allow North-South pedestrian traffic.  Also as part of the project, structural repairs will be made to the existing underground medium voltage electrical vault adjacent to the Chapel Bell Tower.  The specific areas of disturbance are illustrated in the attached logistics diagram.  Impacted areas will be fenced and accessible to authorized personnel only.  The Chapel Bell will remain accessible at all times from the North side.
