To facilitate infrastructure enhancements to North Campus, the northernmost section of Herty Field (refer to area here) will be inaccessible from December 19, 2021 through approximately February 11, 2022.  This project includes the replacement of steam lines by the Facilities Management Division in addition to simultaneous upgrades to water lines by Athens-Clarke County. A partial sidewalk closure between Candler and Meigs Halls will be required for this project but all buildings will remain accessible. 

As a part of a more comprehensive steam line project to execute critical repairs along the North Campus Steam loop, buildings in this area will experience suspended steam service from 5:00 a.m. on Monday December 20^th through 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21^st. Domestic water service will also be suspended on December 21 and 22. Building contacts for each of the impacted facilities have been notified of these required outages.
