Construction forces will mobilize onsite and begin setting up site safety measures such as barriers, fencing, and signage. The sidewalk along the north side of Cloverhurst between the Creswell service drive and Baxter Street will remain closed for the duration of the project however the Baxter Street sidewalk will remain open. Construction activities on the New First-Year Student Residence Hall (Building 2264) will continue at the site until mid-Summer, with an anticipated Material Completion date of June 9, 2022.

On the corner of Baxter Street and Cloverhurst Avenue, beginning Monday, May 17, 2021, construction forces will mobilize north of the Building 2264 construction site on Baxter Street to perform subgrade utility work. From May 17 through May 28, 2021, both eastbound and westbound vehicular traffic, as well as the north sidewalk will remain open; however, the south sidewalk will be closed to pedestrian traffic from the Creswell parking lot to the corner of Baxter and Cloverhurst. From June 1 through June 11, 2021, the work area and channelizing devices will shift and block several parallel parking spots on the north side of the street, as well as divert westbound traffic around the work area. The north and south sidewalks along Baxter Street, as well as the east and westbound vehicular traffic lanes, will remain open. From June 14 through July 13, 2021, the traffic channelizing devices will shift again, and both eastbound and westbound vehicular traffic, as well as the north sidewalk, will remain open; however, the south sidewalk will be closed to pedestrian traffic from the Creswell parking lot to the corner of Baxter and Cloverhurst.
