Update: The closure for Field Street is now extending through August 6, 2023. Field Street will reopen for vehicular traffic on August 7, 2023. Sanford Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic starting August 3, 2023 and will reopen on August 8, 2023.

Construction activities related to multiple projects on Science and Ag Hill will create new impacts to roadways, sidewalks, and parking areas beginning on May 15, 2023 and continuing through July 31, 2023.

On Sanford Drive at the southwestern portion of Sanford bridge, work will require a 5-6 week sidewalk and lane shift. Two-way traffic will continue to be supported, with the pedestrian route along the western side of the bridge.

Beginning May 29^th, installation of a gas main on Sanford Drive and Field Street will create rolling impacts to roadway and sidewalk segments from north of Cedar Street to east of Geography-Geology. Two-way traffic will be maintained along Sanford Drive, but temporary lane closures may require flagged traffic control at times.

Field Street will be closed to all but delivery, construction, paratransit and emergency vehicle access. Sidewalk access will experience disruptions on the eastern portion of Field Street (see map linked below for affected areas). Temporary two-way circulation for these limited uses will provide access to facility service areas from both Sanford Drive and East Campus Road. No general use parking will be available along the roadway with the exception of permitted ADA parking permit holders.

Cedar Street will be closed to all but delivery, construction, paratransit and emergency vehicle access from Sanford Drive to the Biological Sciences building.  Access to Cedar Street facilities and parking from East Campus Road will be maintained up to the Poultry Sciences building but not beyond. Pedestrian access will be disrupted along Cedar Street between Poultry Science and Biological Sciences. Please see linked map for anticipated detour routes.
