The Consulate General of Switzerland and the Swiss Business Hub in Atlanta are partnering with UGA to host a CleanTech symposium titled “Can Tech Save the World?” This event will be a unique opportunity for Switzerland to demonstrate the vibrancy of their sustainability industry. UGA looks forward to hosting this event as a way to engage with a vibrant, international sustainability industry and expose faculty and students to fresh ideas and new possibilities.

The symposium will be held in-person at the Spring Street Building in the UGA Delta Innovation District during the afternoon of April 20, 2022.

In conjunction with the CleanTech event, UGA is organizing a student (graduate and undergraduate) poster display and contest to showcase student research pertaining to the two main focus areas of the conference:

  • Water management and water conservation
  • Biodiversity and sustainable agriculture

The student poster display and contest is open to any UGA undergraduate and graduate student whose research topic is related to Water Management and Conservation or Biodiversity and Sustainable Agriculture. 

Cash prizes will be awarded for the best undergraduate and graduate student posters, as judged by a panel formed by UGA faculty members and industry delegates from Switzerland and Georgia.
