Courtney McInvale is the founder of Seaside Shadows - a history and haunts walking (and boat) tour company based in Connecticut. She has interned at NCIS (Cold Case Homicide Unit) and worked with Homeland Security.  At an early age, she focused on American War History. She has been a guest on many Discovery/Travel Channel shows including Ghost Adventurers, and she routinely interviews on GAIA and Coast to Coast.

As a 4th generation Georgian, she has relatives who fought in the Civil War. She felt compelled to research and compile research on the Georgia Civil War stories and legends - and the project quickly became two volumes. McInvale is the author of Civil War Ghosts of Georgia, (Bury My Bones), Vol. I (Haunted Road Media 2023) and other books. The author's latest book is Civil War Ghosts of Georgia, Vol. II (Haunted Road Media).
