Center for Teaching and Learning 40th Anniversary Celebration
All faculty, staff, and administrators are invited to a reception and open house to celebrate 40 years of CTL’s support of instructional excellence and efficacy at the University of Georgia.
The University of Georgia has been committed to developing instructional excellence among its faculty for more than 40 years. The Center for Teaching and Learning became a physical and functioning part of the university in 1979 (though it was then called the Office of Instructional Development) making it one of the oldest instructional support centers in the nation and the oldest in the state of Georgia. In 1997, the Office of Instructional Development merged with the Instructional Resource Center to become the Office of Instructional Support and Development, bringing instructional technologies, classroom support, and educational development into one collective unit. The Office was renamed the Center for Teaching and Learning in 2005.
