Celebrating Black History Through Steps Towards Inclusion: A journey of selective sites denoting African American contributions at the University of Georgia

Explore African American contributions at the University of Georgia with the self-guided Celebrating Black History Through Steps Towards Inclusion site tour, featuring 10 locations across the UGA Athens campus. The tour can be completed in person by walking, driving, or biking at your leisure, or online through our immersive virtual experience during the month of February.

This event aims to educate participants about the rich history and contributions of African Americans at the University of Georgia and to foster a more inclusive and welcoming environment. The F&A Culture and Belonging Committee is comprised of representatives from across Finance and Administration who work to identify and address opportunities for growth. In addition to promoting education regarding inclusion, the committee hosts public events promoting community engagement and awareness across the University.
