Caring for an older parent or loved one who lives far away (and not so far away) can bring up fears and concerns as well as questions, especially during a pandemic. Join Dr. Kerstin Emerson from UGA’s Institute of Gerontology and Megan Vogt from the Northeast GA Area Agency on Aging for a discussion on resources and opportunities that exist locally and across the aging services network. Learn how to help loved ones live with purpose and meaning, ways to overcome social isolation and distance, and hear about the many services available.

To register, please contact Allyn Rippin at arippin@accaging.org.

This webinar is part of a month-long series hosted by Athens Community Council on Aging’s Center for Active Living, titled “Essential Resources for Adult Children with Aging Parents.” Visit https://www.accaging.org/services/health-wellness/center-for-active-living/big-read/.

This event is also a part of the NEA Big Read series, featuring Roz Chast's graphic memoir Can't We Talk about Something More Pleasant? To see other events of this series, please check https://coe.uga.edu/events/big-read.
