The UGA Department of Kinesiology, along with the Institute of Gerontology and Athens Presbyterian Village will be hosting The Brain Health Seminar Series: On the Move - Brain Health and Movement Disorders. The aim of this series is to provide educational knowledge to students and faculty at UGA on the current research frontiers in the neuroscience of human movement.
The first seminar will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the Miller Learning Center, Rm 250 from 10-11 am by Dr. Michael Borich, DPT, PhD. Dr. Borich is an Associate Professor and Associate Director of Research in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Emory University as well as the Associate Director at the Emory Neural Engineering Center. He will be speaking on the topic of Brain Plasticity and Motor Learning.
An applied presentation and discussion will be held at 2pm at the Presbyterian Village titled Aging-related changes in motor function: strategies to ‘turn back the clock’.
