NEW DATE: Performance: Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn
Due to the continuing surge in COVID-19, Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn are postponing their show at UGA on October 24 to May 19, 2022.
All tickets issued for the performance on October 24 remain valid for the performance on May 19. It is not necessary to obtain new tickets. UGA Presents apologizes for the inconvenience but is very pleased to still be able to welcome these musicians to UGA as part of the 25th anniversary season.
Ticket holders who are unable to attend the performance on the new date should contact the UGA Performing Arts Center to exchange for another event, receive a full refund, or donate the value of the tickets to the Performing Arts Center as a tax-deductible contribution.
Hailed as “the king and queen of the banjo” (Paste Magazine), Béla Fleck and Abigail Washburn enjoy a musical collaboration like no other.
He is a fifteen-time Grammy Award-winning icon who has taken his instrument to new places across multiple genres. She is a singer-songwriter and clawhammer banjo star who has re-radicalized her instrument by combining its sounds with Far Eastern influences.
Onstage, their artistry and chemistry result in a picking partnership unlike any on the planet in what will surely be one of the most anticipated performances of the entire season.
