Welcome to the 5th Annual Georgia Hospitality & Travel Summit on May 4, hosted by UGA's #1 publicly ranked Hospitality and Food Industry Management program. This year's theme, "The Science of Service: Orchestrating Strategy, Scale, and Story," shifts the industry paradigm from intuition to precision engineering. Join us to decode the exact formulas behind market profitability, mass venue logistics, ultra-luxury community retention, and brand scaling.

The day begins with a State of the Industry update from Explore Georgia's Jay Markwalter. From there, attendees will experience four masterclass panels:

  • The Physics of Profit: Unpack market analytics and asset strategy with Chantal Ge Wu (CoStar Group), Greg Winey (NorthPointe Hospitality), Marco Roca (Reveille Hospitality), Chris Hardman (GHLA), and Jon McGavin (Grande Lakes Orlando).
  • The Mechanics of Mobilization: Dive into mass-scale event engineering and logistics with Monte Ortel (Gas South District), Adam Noyes (Proof of the Pudding), Amanda Dyson-Thornton (GACVB), and Robyn Gillespie (Czarnowski Collective).
  • The Chemistry of Community: Explore ultra-luxury retention, lifestyle assets, and club governance with Allie Waldman (Augusta National), Amber Read (Piedmont Driving Club), Robert Stenhammer (Alys Beach), and Jim Holliday (Beaver Run Resort).
  • The Biology of Brand: Examine how to scale excellence—from franchise growth to independent curation—with Luke Christian (Surcheros), Daniel Zeal (Sea Island Resort), Matthew Roher (Sea Pines Resort), and Stephanie C. Fischer (Georgia Restaurant Association).

The summit culminates in an exclusive fireside chat with UGA alumnus, Peabody Award-winner, and culinary media icon, Alton Brown. In "The Art & Science of Storytelling," the creator of Good Eats will challenge attendees to master the mechanics of their trade to successfully craft stories that connect with guests.

Stop guessing and start engineering your ultimate guest experience. Join C-suite leaders this May 4—register today.
