 l 12th.\n\nBio: Dr. Irene Davis is a Professor in the School of Physical T
 herapy and Rehabilitation Science\, Morsani College of Medicine\, Universi
 ty of South Florida. Prior to this\, she was the founding Director of the 
 Spaulding National Running Center\, Department of Physical Medicine and Re
 habilitation\, Harvard Medical School. She is a Professor Emeritus in Phys
 ical Therapy at the University of Delaware where she served on the faculty
  for over 20 years. Her research is focused on the relationship between lo
 wer extremity mechanics and injury and extends to the development of inter
 ventions to alter faulty mechanics through gait retraining. Dr. Davis has 
 received funding from the Department of Defense\, and National Institutes 
 of Health to support her research. She has given over 350 national and int
 ernational lectures and authored 160 publications She has been named one o
 f the 50 Most Influential People in Running. She is a Fellow and Past Pres
 ident of the American Society of Biomechanics\, and the 2019 ASB Borelli a
 ward winner and the 2023 ISB Muybridge award winner. She is also a Fellow\
 , past Vice President and current President of the American College of Spo
 rts Medicine. Finally\, she is a Catherine Worthingham Fellow of the Ameri
 can Physical Therapy Association.\n\nLecture History: The Ramsey Lecture S
 eries honors the University of Georgia’s most generous individual benefa
 ctor\, the late Bernard B. Ramsey (BS ’37)\, long-time chairman of the b
 oard of Merrill Lynch. His lifetime gifts totaled more than $44 million an
 d included more than $23 million to fund the Foundation Fellowship program
 \, the University’s most prestigious scholarship\, in addition to numero
 us endowed chairs\, programs\, and classrooms across campus. His contribut
 ions also helped fund construction of a student center in the Terry Colleg
 e of Business\, a concert hall in the Performing Arts Center and the Butts
 -Mehre Athletic Heritage Hall.\n\nThe Ramsey Lecture Series is funded by a
 n endowment of academic programs in the Ramsey Center from Bernard B. Rams
 ey. Through Mr. Ramsey’s generosity\, internationally respected scholars
  have been brought to UGA each year.
