The program was GREAT! Every part of it was inspirational, from Dr. Cook’s intro through to her conclusion, including President Morehead’s spirited remarks about UGA’s. Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion, the moving singing of the Black National Anthem, the incredibly hopeful artwork of the school children, Alton Standifer’s sense of o as soon, the moving and inspirational comments of the winners of the MLK awards and, of course the moving speech by Hamilton Holmes, Jr. All of it was so inspirational that I cried through it even tho it was virtual. I missed seeing folks as we usually do, but what a moving program that gave us fuel to keep going in these difficult times. Thank you!!
