Due to the unfolding COVID-19 situation as well as the resulting social distancing, CLASE recognizes that face-to-face Institutes in Fall 2020 will not be possible. Instead, CLASE is excited about its plans to provide this training virtually.

In response to preliminary questions:

  • The times will remain the same (9 a.m.-5 p.m.)
  • CLASE will employ a virtual format rather than a face-to-face format
  • CLASE will work with each district individually to develop a plan for ensuring that participants receive their course materials and information about how to transition to the online format prior to each Institute.

General Event Description: Join the Center for Latino Achievement and Success in Education (CLASE) for 30 hours of professional development on the Instructional Conversation Pedagogy and its application. Learn how integrating the listening and speaking standards into facilitated, conversation-based lessons can better prepare students, particularly culturally and linguistically diverse students, for the Georgia Milestones.

Dates and details are TENTATIVE and subject to change. Please review all information carefully before choosing a session.
