14th Annual Working in the Public Interest Conference: Fighting for the American Dream

The 14th Annual Working in the Public Interest Law Conference, “Fighting for the American Dream,” will focus on issues faced by lawyers working within the immigration and veterans systems.

The conference will include plenary sessions focusing on these challenges, as well as a panel discussion on the intersection of immigrant and veterans rights. This discussion will be led by 2013 MacArthur Foundation Fellow Lt. Col. Margaret D. Stock (ret.). Attendees will also view and discuss The Unafraid, a documentary focusing on how the immigrant community is affected by Georgia’s citizenship requirements for attending public colleges.

Additionally, a lunchtime keynote will be delivered by Spc. Hector Barajas, the founder of the Deported Veterans Support House.
