Workshop: Designing Online Surveys for Undergraduates in Qualtrics
9:00 am – 11:00 am
Designing a high-quality survey that meets research needs is key to a successful classroom research project, but so is getting students to take those surveys. This workshop will cover research-based recommendations for both the design and implementation of online surveys. The first hour will focus on survey basics and question design for those somewhat new to survey methodology. After a brief break, the second hour will focus on reducing barriers and perceived “cost” of taking and analyzing the survey for students and researchers using motivational techniques and Qualtrics options.
Participants should create a Qualtrics account before the workshop.
Coffee and snacks will be provided for this morning workshop. Participants may attend both hours or just one hour.
