As part of its 30th Anniversary events, the College of Environment and Design’s Environmental Ethics Certificate Program will honor one of its founding fathers with "A Celebration of the Life and Work of Frederick Ferré."

The EECP and the Department of Philosophy join to reflect on Frederick's wide-ranging contributions to environmental philosophy, with special guest speaker Geoffrey Frasz, a professor of philosophy at the College of Southern Nevada. Frasz conducted his dissertation under Ferré's guidance and was among the first recipients of the graduate certificate in environmental ethics in 1984.
