"Factors that Influence the Developing Controls of Food Intake from Infancy through Adolescence," Leann Birch, distinguished professor of human xevelopment and Director of the Center for Childhood Obesity Research at Pennsylvania State University.
Birch’s research investigates factors that influence the developing controls of food intake from infancy through adolescence. Her research focuses on both predictors and consequences of eating behavior, including a focus on the development of food preferences, and on problems of energy balance, particularly obesity, dieting, and disordered eating. Ongoing research projects include research on the relations among feeding, sleeping and growth in infants in the first year o9f life, and their subsequent influence on children’s eating, growth and weight status; and a 10-year longitudinal study on the development of control of food intake.
To be rescheduled for a later date.
