Global Poverty Project at UGA: 1.4 Billion Reasons Tour

7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
B-2 Auditorium

A multimedia presentation that explains about the 1.4 billion people currently living in extreme poverty.

The presentation is structured around five key questions:
1. What is extreme poverty?
2. Can anything be done about it?
3. What are the barriers to ending extreme poverty?
4. Why should we care?
5. What can we do?

The goal is that by the end of a screening of 1.4 Billion Reasons, the audience will better understand the current situation facing those in extreme poverty, and they will feel empowered with a variety of actions they can take to address these issues--as students, citizens, consumers and professionals.

For more information on the tour is availible  here and on YouTube.
