Also to be April 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Computer Health and Security Fair is a free, two-day event that allows UGA students, faculty and staff to bring their personal laptops for a security checkup by a technology professional. Sponsored by Enterprise Information Technology Services and the Office of Information Technology at the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.
Technical volunteers will provide free virus and malware removal and offer security consultations and checkups to ensure that laptops are using the latest and most secure software and plug-ins.
During the event, any UGA student or employee is welcomed to ask questions about securing their laptops against viruses and other security threats.
University department-issued computers will not be checked at the fair.
