Performing Arts

A Hugh Hodgson School of Music fall tradition continues with this year’s Concert On The Lawn. The concert—featuring the Hodgson School’s premier wind band, the Hodgson Wind Ensemble, with special guests the UGA Jazz Ensemble—leans into its proximity to Halloween with a theme of “Witches and Wizards.” Pieces from “The Wizard of Oz,” “The Wiz,” “Wicked” and the “Harry Potter” series join Sousa marches and Karl King’s “Invictus” on the program.

Georgia Drone Summit

The Georgia Drone Summit will take drone knowledge to new heights, gathering students and educators, operators and curators, professionals and enthusiasts to collectively explore drone technologies and applications. Gathering a wide range of driven individuals thirsty for knowledge under one roof for two days, participants will explore the technology’s possibilities, strengthen professional networks and help uncover the advantages drones can bring to your industry.
