The 11th annual Global Educational Forum

Conferences, Fairs and Symposiums

The 11th annual Global Educational Forum will focus on engineering, education and technology in human development and sport. The keynote speakers and UGA faculty scholars in the the fields of engineering, technology, and human sport biomechanics will use different platforms and frameworks to provide solutions to issues of worldwide significance such as unsafe drinking water and sports injuries like concussion.

Going on Tour: Using Technology to Support Experiential and Project-Based Learning

Classes and Workshops, Lectures, Readings and Discussions

Creative use of free web-based tools such as Google Earth Tour Builder and Google Hangouts On Air can lead to virtual experiential learning and provide opportunities for students to develop Intercultural Communicative Competence by interacting with people and places from around the world. During "Going on Tour: Using Technology to Support Experiential Learning and Project Based Learning," participants will take a look at how these and other tools are being used in SPAN 2001e and discuss methods of implementation. Part of the Franklin Faculty Teacher Speaker Series. Led by Annie Rutter Wendel, Spanish linguist and instructor.

Have you ever visited an exhibit and felt you only heard the first part of a truly great story? If you’re a visitor who wants to learn more about the exhibitions and collections at the Richard B. Russell Building Special Collections Libraries, then join this monthly book club with light refreshments and discussion on works connected to upcoming/ongoing exhibitions and programs. The monthly titles are selected (and discussions led) by Special Collections staff who help to create these displays/programs, and invite readers to learn more about the topics explored and to take them into new, related areas of interest. March’s Selection: Party Out of Bounds: The B-52’s, R.E.M., and the Kids Who Rocked Athens, Georgia by Rodger Lyle Brown This program is open free to the public and co-sponsored by the University of Georgia Libraries and The University of Georgia Press.
