Ecology Graduate Student Symposium

The 32nd annual Odum School Graduate Student Symposium is a chance to hear the latest research from the graduate student community and view posters by undergraduate researchers in the Odum School. This year's keynote address, "From Rocks to Spiders: Geologic Controls on Trace Metals affect Aquatic-Riparian Linkages in Rocky Mountain Streams," will be given by David Walters, a research scientist with the U.S.G.S. and an affiliate faculty member at Colorado State University.

UGA SBDC StartSMART

Classes and Workshops

The UGA Small Business Development Center in Athens is hosting its Signature Series for new entrepreneurs, called StartSMART, for 5 consecutive Fridays beginning Jan. 27. Each Friday, learn to plan and analyze your vision by creating a thoroughly researched and tested business plan. There is an application process, and space is limited.

Symposium: Protect and Serve - Perspectives on 21st Century Policing

This Georgia Law Review Symposium will bring together a diverse set of voices to discuss the state of the law in the intersection of criminal law and policing. The recent news coverage of policing issues and developments in case law make this a relevant time to discuss the questions created by these current events. By dedicating its symposium issue to these topics, the Georgia Law Review hopes to provide a forum for discussion about the current and future state of policing.

International Coffee Hour

Multicultural

International Coffee Hour is a weekly program that brings together UGA students, faculty, staff and community members over coffee and international cuisine. This program offers a unique experience to engage in conversation with people of different cultures and backgrounds. Each week is hosted by a different student organization or department on campus. Coordinated by the Department of International Student Life, UGA’s International Coffee Hour is one of the longest running programs of its kind across the U.S.
