Blood Pressure and Cholesterol Screenings

As part of American Heart Month, the University Health Center will offer blood pressure and cholesterol screenings (blood lipid panels) at a free or reduced rate. To be held Feb. 8-11 and Feb. 15-18 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. Check in at registration on the first floor.

Southern Region Women’s Agricultural Leadership Summit

Conferences, Fairs and Symposiums, Lectures, Readings and Discussions, Women’s Resources

The Southern Region Women's Agricultural Leadership Summit will bring together professionals, scholars and industry leaders from the 13 southern states who are eager to dialogue about women’s leadership in the context of agricultural and environmental sciences. The summit program to include: a panel discussion of women agricultural leaders, a luncheon with keynote speaker Krysta Harden, deputy secretary of the USDA, and an interactive dialogue that will be used to make recommendations for women’s leadership development in the context of agriculturally based work. This summit will provide input for USDA, higher education scholars and others who are interested in shaping programs and policies within this area of influence.
