Animal Voices Film Festival: A Dog Named Gucci

A Dog Named Gucci is the story of an abused puppy and the brave man who came to his rescue. But for Doug James, saving Gucci was just the beginning. Together they would forge a forever bond of devotion and perseverance and work to change the animal cruelty laws in their home state of Alabama, making domestic animal abuse a felony. A Dog Named Gucci is an inspiring film about how to protect those who cannot protect themselves.

Concert: Maggie Snyder and Tim Lovelace

Maggie Snyder, violist of the UGA Franklin Quartet and faculty member of the Hugh Hodgson School of Music, will perform a concert with guest artist, Tim Lovelace. The recital features works from Schumann, Julius Röntgen, Garrett Byrnes and the world-premiere of a solo viola piece by world-renowned composer Libby Larsen.
